A strategic relocation to foster a dynamic and innovative workspace

The Munnelly Group is a leading UK construction and infrastructure support services group. Through successful organic growth combined with strategic acquisitions, they are one of the UK’s fastest growing companies in their chosen sectors.

They had outgrown their dated, traditional premises and was moving into a brand-new, modern office space filled with natural daylight. This move represented an opportunity to rethink their workplace and create a space that reflected the company’s culture, brand, and ambition for the future.

The design needed to be functional yet visually appealing, incorporating contemporary aesthetics, greenery, and industrial touches while also remaining highly practical for day-to-day operations.

Ready to transform your office environment? Let's get started.

Revitalise Your Workspace

A well-designed office space has an impact on productivity, morale and office culture. It can be the difference between attracting the great staff your business needs to thrive or them leaving because they have found a better environment elsewhere. As specialists in office refurbishments, APSS guides you through the process, transforming your existing workspace into a modern, efficient and inspiring environment.

The Challenge

Changing workplace expectations – While remote working wasn’t a core challenge, the relocation to a new premises 15 minutes further away for some staff meant the fit-out needed to be compelling. The new office had to feel worth the change, offering a vibrant, engaging environment that encouraged people to embrace the move. By creating a space that was social, collaborative, and thoughtfully designed, the fit-out played a key role in ensuring employees felt positive about relocating and excited to work in the new setting.

Tight timelines – The project was bound by a strict schedule, as the client needed to vacate their existing premises by a set date. This created additional pressure to ensure the new office was fully designed, fitted out, and ready to occupy within a compressed timeframe.

Furniture strategy and supply chain – APSS partnered with a UK-based supply chain to guarantee quality and avoid delays, while also completing a furniture audit to identify items that could be reused. This approach delivered cost savings, reduced waste, and ensured reused pieces were integrated without compromising the overall design.

Blending expertise – While the client understood how their office would operate day-to-day, they needed a partner who could combine design expertise, technical knowledge, and practical office solutions.

The Outcome

The final office design achieved all of the client’s objectives and more. The space is visually striking, combining industrial style, greenery, and contemporary elements. Touch-down tables, open spaces, and social areas encourage teamwork and spontaneous interactions.

Early engagement with furniture suppliers in the UK ensured quality materials and a smooth delivery process. The project was completed within the tight timeline without compromising standards. Feedback from staff and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. Many commented on how the office feels both functional and welcoming. By creating a desirable, social, and functional workplace, the client strengthened their office as a key hub for team engagement and brand presence.

APSS’s combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaborative approach ensured a seamless fit-out experience, resulting in a space that exceeds expectations and sets a new standard for modern workplaces.

Every person that's come in, whether they are working for us or with us, has been massively impressed. The delivery, quality, and technical expertise really made them rise to the top. I would recommend them again.
