Businesses from across the UK come together at Doddington Hall for APSS' inaugural charity padel event
APSS has successfully hosted its first ever Padel Day at Doddington Hall & Gardens, bringing together clients, partners and members of the business community to raise funds for Beaumond House Hospice Care.
The event combined friendly competition with fundraising, creating an opportunity for businesses from across the region to connect while supporting a charity that provides vital care and support to patients and their families. Set against the backdrop of Doddington Hall’s award-winning grounds, the day saw participants take to the courts for a series of matches, with plenty of enthusiasm on display from both experienced padel players and those trying the sport for the first time.
As one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, padel proved to be the perfect format for bringing people together in a relaxed and inclusive environment. Throughout the day, teams competed in good spirits, with the focus firmly on supporting an organisation that has a profound impact on the lives of local people.
We are incredibly proud of the success of our first Padel Day. The response from businesses across the region was fantastic, and it was great to see so many people coming together to support such an important cause. Beaumond House Hospice provides invaluable support to individuals and families when they need it most, and we're delighted to have been able to contribute to that work through this event. Funds raised through the event will help Beaumond House Hospice continue providing specialist palliative care, wellbeing services and bereavement support. Beaumond House Hospice Care is a registered charity committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients and their families living in Newark and Sherwood. We have four In-patient beds for people with palliative care needs, Day Therapy as well as a Hospice at Home service providing compassionate support to the community. We also offer Complementary Therapy for patients and carers who would benefit from a therapeutic approach.
