A multi tier shelving application is the ideal proposal where there is just not quite enough head room for the installation of a mezzanine floor to a building. These are becoming more and more popular with an electrical wholesaler customer that we have where they have a very fixed plan for the shelving they require.
Our multi tier shelving system uses “planked” walkways for access aisles on the first floor, these are an integral part of the structure. This eliminates the need for the construction depth of normally greater than 300mm that a mezzanine floor requires.
We have successfully cleared several of these structures through build regulation control, with the correct lighting and smoke detection we are able to complete the scheme on average much more economically than constructing a mezzanine floor.
