Fit out of a retail showroom with a mezzanine floor and bespoke joinery features
National expert kitchen designers and manufacturers Wren Kitchens were adding more showrooms to their expansive portfolio of showrooms nationwide.
The unit was a shell and required some significant changes in order to house the new Wren Kitchens Showroom in Paisley. A selection of projects were drawn up to transform the unit into the retail showroom to showcase their range of kitchens and bedrooms.
The large retail fit out programme comprised of many elements including the initial strip out and enabling works, installing dividing walls to change the layout and create kitchen showroom areas and staff areas, glass screens to create customer presentation areas, electrical works, wall and floor finishes, signage and installation of their display kitchens. Regulations and planning requirements were adhered to and handled by apss to ensure compliancy throughout the project.
The design and installation of a mezzanine floor instantly created an additional 1006m2 of retail floor area, the stainless steel and glass balustrade allow the mezzanine floor to remain in keeping with the aesthetic showroom.
The apss joinery team created a range of joinery pieces especially for Wren Showrooms to assist in displaying their products. A bespoke chair wall displays the range of dining chairs to select from, the custom made CAD desks are ideal in the customer presentation area, and various selector stands were created to display worktops, sinks, handles and lighting. Also a bespoke circular coffer ceiling light is a great feature to illuminate the mezzanine floor.
An essential element whilst working on a retail fit out project is to ensure the schedule is adhered to, a programme of works was put into place and stringently followed to ensure the showroom was able to meet the publicised opening date.
