New virtual reality software is being used by a Lincoln interior refurbishment company which allows clients to glimpse the future and
APSS, based in Kingsley Road, is using the technology to create a real-life walk around of a building to allow clients to experience first-hand how the finished project will look.
It allows them to explore the new layout, décor, furniture and finishing touches, even down to potted plants.
The new tool has only been shared with a handful of customers to date but APSS says they have all been impressed at how they can get a good feel for their new facilities.
APSS was commissioned by Greenray Energy Solutions Ltd to design its new custom built office at Teal Park, in Lincoln.
Work commenced at the end of November and the project will be delivered by the end of January 2017.
The interior layout and design that had already been agreed by Greenray Energy Solutions Ltd was dropped into the new virtual reality software so that they could experience exactly how their new building will look walking around.
Wearing the VR headset and holding the pointer stick they could explore all three floors of their new building, including departments, meeting rooms, the board room, staff areas and the main reception.
Kirk Paulie, business development manager at Greenray said "The virtual reality experience that APSS provided was a great way to visualise the interior of our new building.
"This allowed us to do a virtual walk around each floor which gave a great perception of our new work space.
"It's great to see a company utilising modern technology to enhance customer experience."
APSS has been designing and fitting commercial interiors for 20 years and has a wealth of experience across many sectors including offices, retail, education and industrial.
Over the last five years it has developed its construction offering and one of its projects, the refurbished and modernised Dennis Horton Skoda showroom, in Kingsley Road, will open its doors before Christmas.
APSS is on track to hit a £30m turnover this year, the best year yet, and continues to grow at a rapid rate.
